Letter names, phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, decoding, sight word recognition, print awareness
Reading
Building background knowledge, vocabulary, comprehension strategies, verbal reasoning, language structures, and literary genre knowledge
Writing
Foundations: Conceptual knowledge of print, letter writing, finger spacing, punctuation, and capitalization
The 6-Step Writing Process: Prewriting, planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing for narrative, informational/expository, and opinion/persuasive essays
Written Response: Responding to literary/non-fiction texts in 2 or more sentences using specific evidence from the readings
Language
Grammar: Parts of speech, syntax, morphology, and types of sentences
Mathematics
All K-5 core topics are covered as specified by the Common Core State Standards

2026-2027 Availability
During the academic school year, sessions are held Monday through Friday from 3:30-6:30pm.
Preferred Session Times:
3:30pm-4:20pm (50 minutes)
4:00-4:50pm (50 minutes)
4:30-5:20pm (50 minutes)
5:30-6:20pm (50 minutes)
Summer Session Availability
9:00am-5:00pm (by appointment)
Summer tutoring begins Monday, June 8th, 2026, and ends on Saturday, August 8th, 2026.
Session Type
Group or Individual?
Individual Sessions
Personalized, 1:1 academic instruction is the main service offered. This will achieve the best results for students who are below grade level.
Group Sessions
Group sessions are offered for students who are of similar age/ability.
2 Students = $70 (Save $30)
3 Students = $100 (Save $50)
4 Students = $120 (Save $80)
Prices
Affordable Rates
One Virtual Session = $40
This includes one 50-minute session hosted via Zoom or Google Meet.
One In-Person Session = $50
This includes one 50-minute session hosted at the client's residence, a local library, or a nearby cafe.
4-Session Package = $180
This package includes four consecutive 50-minute sessions hosted at the client's residence, a local library, or a nearby cafe.
8-Session Package = $350
This package includes eight 50-minute sessions hosted at the client's residence, a local library, or a nearby cafe.
*The prices for in-person tutoring sessions factor in travel time and gas.
Cancellation Policy
Your time is valuable. To ensure fairness and consistency for all families, the following cancellation policy applies to all tutoring sessions.
Cancellations & Rescheduling

Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

No-shows (failure to attend a scheduled session without notice) will be charged 100% of the session cost.
Late Arrivals

Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time.

Late arrivals do not extend the session length.

Arriving more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show and charged accordingly.
Tutor Cancellations

If The Everyday Tutor must cancel due to illness or emergency, the session will be rescheduled at no charge or fully refunded, based on client preference.
Emergencies

Emergencies happen. Exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of The Everyday Tutor.
