Meet the
Everyday Tutor
I'm Amani Fitzgerald, The Everyday Tutor. With 5 years of classroom teaching and 6 years of individualized tutoring experience, I use research-based strategies to help students build strong learning habits that lead to independence, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning.
I teach third grade at a CCSD public school in East Las Vegas and have experience supporting English Learners, Gifted and Talented students, and students with disabilities. I work with students who need targeted support to build strong literacy skills daily.
My approach combines structured academic support with research-based strategies, all while fostering self-awareness and self-confidence. By encouraging children to question understanding, they develop metacognitive skills that empower them to tackle problems using various tools and resources.
Courage. Consistency. Commitment.
In both my professional and personal life, I strive to model and instill three core values: courage, consistency, and commitment. With each tutoring student, I encourage the courage to take on new challenges, the consistency to work steadily toward academic goals, and the commitment to give their best effort in every learning experience.

"Patient and Very Kind."
Amani is great !!! My daughter started getting into the habit of putting herself down when it comes to math. With just one tutoring session in, the confidence my daughter came home with felt amazing for the both of us. Great tutor !!

"Amazing!"
Moving from California my son was having trouble adjusting and was worried about the new school and if the learning would be different. Now having Amani he has shown confidence. Glad we chose her. She's amazing.

"Looks forward to the next session."
He is comfortable, and it shows. His teachers last year, had trouble getting him to even talk to them. So much improvement there.
